IEPFA launches new portal and forms to boost investor protection and ensure compliance by August 2025 deadline
The Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA) convened a meeting with nodal officers from companies across India to enhance investor protection and compliance. Key initiatives discussed included the launch of an Integrated Portal designed to expedite claim settlements, introduction of a new IEPF-5 form for claimants, and an e-Verification Report for nodal officers. Companies were reminded to comply with the 2019 directive by submitting Form IEPF-1A by August 30, 2025, to ensure accurate claim processing and reduce discrepancies. The ongoing "Saksham Niveshak" campaign encourages proactive shareholder engagement through technology-driven tools to update KYC details and disburse pending dividends before transfer to the fund. The meeting emphasized leveraging digital outreach, AI-enabled claimant tracing, and third-party services to improve compliance and investor awareness.
