<h1>23 SEZs Approved: IT, Biotech, and Multi-Product Projects Get Green Light Across India, Including Major Tamil Nadu SEZ.</h1> The Board of Approval for Special Economic Zones (SEZs) reviewed 34 proposals for SEZ establishment, granting 23 formal and 6 in-principle approvals. Key approvals include IT/ITES SEZs in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh. Other approvals include biotechnology, light engineering, textile, and non-conventional energy SEZs. Formal approval was also given for a multi-product SEZ in Tamil Nadu. In-principle approvals were granted for multi-product, multi-services, and airport/aviation SEZs in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and Maharashtra. A significant project includes a 1020-hectare multi-product SEZ in Tamil Nadu.
