Key trading partners include Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia. India has prioritized sectors such as machinery, petroleum, electronics, and agro-industries for expanding trade. To facilitate this, India signed a Trade in Goods Agreement under the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement with ASEAN in 2009 and concluded negotiations on Trade in Services and Investment Agreements in 2012. Additionally, India has Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreements with Singapore and Malaysia and is negotiating similar agreements with Thailand and Indonesia.
