<h1>National Startup Awards fifth edition opens applications recognizing innovation social impact sustainability across multiple sectors</h1> The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade has opened applications for the fifth edition of National Startup Awards under the Startup India program. The awards recognize startups demonstrating innovation, social impact, sustainability, and scalability across sectors including agriculture, clean energy, fintech, aerospace, health, education, and cybersecurity. The previous edition received over 2,300 applications. Winners undergo rigorous multi-stage evaluation by expert panels and gain national credibility, enabling access to partnerships, investors, policy support, and global visibility. Past winners have influenced policy, secured major grants, and expanded internationally. Over 1.75 lakh startups have been recognized by the department since 2016.
