<h1>India's largest IT services company posts 6% profit growth despite revenue decline on constant currency</h1> The country's largest IT services company reported a 6% increase in net profit to Rs 12,760 crore for the April-June quarter, compared to Rs 12,040 crore in the same period last year. Revenue rose 1.3% to Rs 63,437 crore from Rs 62,613 crore year-on-year, though declined 3% on constant currency basis. Operating profit margin improved to 24.5%. The company secured new deals worth USD 9.4 billion during the quarter and increased headcount to 6,13,069 employees. Management cited global macro-economic and geopolitical uncertainties as factors causing demand contraction in the market.
