Opposition urges PM to tackle domestic issues after five-nation BRICS tour including unrest and economic reforms
The opposition party criticized the Prime Minister following his return from a five-nation tour to Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia, where he attended the BRICS Summit. The party suggested the PM should now address domestic issues including visiting a northeastern state experiencing unrest for over two years, reviewing pending terrorism cases, examining infrastructure failures in his home state, and providing flood assistance to another state. They also recommended the PM chair an all-party meeting to establish the agenda for the upcoming Parliament monsoon session beginning July 21, and focus on economic reforms including tax restructuring and boosting private investment.
