<h1>State launches EV Policy 2.0 targeting 50% electric vehicle registrations by 2036 with enhanced incentives</h1> The state government decided to launch EV Policy 2.0 targeting at least 50 percent battery-operated electric vehicles in all new vehicle registrations by 2036. The state is revising its 2021 EV policy with extended validity and enhanced incentives for buyers and Charge Point Operators. Electric vehicle registrations increased from 1.16 percent in 2021 to 8.71 percent by June 2025. The state currently operates over 550 public charging stations and has issued proposals for developing additional charging infrastructure at strategic locations to support the electric mobility transition.
