The Minister of Railways Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal while presenting Railways Budget for 2013-14, announced that his Ministry would impart skills to the youth in Railway related trades in 25 locations spread across the length and breadth of the country with a view to contributing to the national skill development programme of the Government.
These locations are: Agartala, Alwar, Ankleshwar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Dimapur, Imphal, Jagdalpur, Jais, Katihar, Kazipet, Kollam, Koraput, Kumding, Mangalore, Murshidabad, Nagpur, Naharlagun, Pathankot, Ranchi, Ratlam, Shimla, Sirsa, Srinagar and Tiruchchirappalli.
He also announced the proposal to setup a multi-disciplinary training institute at Nagpur for imparting training in rail related electronics technologies.
