<h1>Indian Railway Budget 2013-14: 67 New Trains, Enhanced Infrastructure, Passenger Services, Security, and Inclusivity Initiatives Announced.</h1> The Railway Budget for 2013-14 introduced 67 new express trains, 26 passenger services, and various other train services. Significant infrastructure enhancements included 500 km of new lines and 750 km of doubling. The budget prioritized 347 ongoing projects and set the highest ever plan outlay of Rs. 63,363 crore. Passenger services were improved with internet ticketing, SMS alerts, and Wi-Fi on trains. Security measures were strengthened with women RPF personnel, and several initiatives aimed at inclusivity and accessibility were announced, such as wheel-chair friendly coaches and Braille stickers. Additionally, various concessions and complimentary passes were introduced for sportspersons and gallantry awardees.
