<h1>India's Rail Network Expands: First Rail Line to Arunachal Pradesh, Progress on Manipur and Gauge Conversion Projects.</h1> The Minister of Railways announced the first rail connection to Arunachal Pradesh, with the Harmuti-Naharlagun line set to be commissioned this year. During the Railway Budget presentation for 2013-14, it was highlighted that work on a new railway line to connect Manipur is progressing well. Additionally, gauge conversion projects on the Lumding-Silchar and Rangia-Murkongselek lines are being expedited. The Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla national project and other strategically important projects are prioritized.
