Customs revenue increased by 25.2% for the month, reaching Rs 10,205 crore, while Excise revenue saw a 4.4% growth, totaling Rs 9,583 crore. The combined total revenue for Customs and Excise rose by 14.2% to Rs 19,788 crore. For April 2008, Service Tax revenue collection was Rs 6,093 crore, marking a substantial 40% increase from April 2007.
