This applies to recipients of awards such as Maha Vir Chakra, Vir Chakra, Kirti Chakra, Shaurya Chakra, and Police Gallantry Medals. Additionally, police gallantry awardees will receive an annual complimentary pass for travel with a companion in 2 AC on Rajdhani/Shatabdi trains. The renewal period for freedom fighters' passes will be extended from one year to three years to alleviate inconvenience for elderly recipients.
