The examination aimed to fill 21,391 vacancies and attracted over 18 lakh aspirants but was cancelled following allegations of paper leaks. An inter-state gang allegedly generated illicit funds by leaking exam papers and selling them to candidates, using the proceeds to create personal assets. The masterminds are reportedly the same individuals involved in the 2024 examination paper leak scandal.
