<h1>Cabinet Approves New 121.70 km Railway Line from Gevra Road to Pendra Road to Boost Coal Transport.</h1> The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved a new broad gauge railway line between Gevra Road and Pendra Road, spanning 121.70 km, at a cost of Rs. 838.02 crore. This project, set to be completed in five years, will be funded through a joint venture involving IRCON International Ltd., South Eastern Coalfields Ltd., and the Government of Chhattisgarh. IRCON will lead the formation of a Special Purpose Vehicle with 26% equity, while Chhattisgarh will contribute 10% through land or cash. The rail link aims to accommodate increased coal traffic from regional coalfields and support coal distribution to Western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab.
