of <h1>India Introduces Green Channel for Large Firms: Self-Certification, No Pre-Dispatch Inspection Required for Rate Contracts.</h1> The Government of India's Department of Commerce has introduced a Green Channel policy for firms with an annual turnover of Rs. 1000 crore or more, allowing them to be deemed registered without pre-dispatch inspection for Rate Contracts by the Directorate General of Supplies and Disposals (DGS&D). These firms can self-certify their products' quality under manufacturer warranties. Products with satisfactory test reports from recognized labs require no further testing. The policy mandates immediate repair or replacement of defective goods within seven days. Detailed guidelines are available on the DGS&D website.
