In rupee terms, the price fell to Rs 5,876.23 per barrel from Rs 5,917.25 due to the appreciation of the rupee, with the exchange rate improving to Rs 53.95 per US dollar from Rs 54.83. This data was reported by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.
