The following Bills, after having received the assent of the President on 3rd January 2013, have been published as corresponding Acts in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section-1, dated the 4th January, 2013:

1. The Enforcement of Security Interest and Recovery of Debts Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2012 as Act No. 1 of 2013;

2. The Prevention of Money-Laundering (Amendment) Bill, 2012 as Act No. 2 of 2013; and

3. The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Amendment Bill, 2012 as Act No. 3 of 2013. \

Also, the Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2012, which received the assent of the President on 5th January, 2013, has been published as the corresponding Act in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section-1, dated the 7th January, 2013 as Act No. 4 of 2013.

Publication of Acts confirms formal Gazette promulgation of several statutory amendments affecting debt recovery, AML, unlawful activities, and banking. Publication in the Gazette formalised the recent parliamentary enactments, converting the listed Bills into law and effecting amendments to the frameworks governing enforcement of security interests and debt recovery, prevention of money laundering, unlawful activities prevention, and banking law; the announcement records that these Acts received presidential assent and were published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 1, thereby completing the statutory promulgation step.
