of <h1>GST Official Arrested for Demanding Rs 45,000 Bribe During Tax Assessment of Local Businessman</h1> A GST official was caught accepting a Rs 45,000 bribe from a local businessman in Noida. The official allegedly demanded money to resolve a pending tax assessment for financial years 2016-17 and 2017-18. After the businessman reported the extortion attempt to Vigilance authorities, the official was arrested when accepting the bribe. A departmental inquiry is expected to follow the arrest.
