Delhi Excise Policy Rebounds with Rs 7,766 Crore Revenue, Government Extends Current Framework While Developing New Strategy
The Delhi government's excise revenue increased to Rs 7,766 crore in 2024-25, showing recovery from previous policy disruptions. Revenue grew from Rs 6,762 crore in 2021-22 to Rs 7,765.97 crore in 2024-25. The government extended the existing excise policy for three more months while preparing a new transparent policy. Four government corporations currently operate over 700 retail liquor outlets in the city.
