Strategic Deep-Sea Port Inaugurated, Boosting Maritime Logistics and Economic Growth with Massive Infrastructure Investment
A major international deep-sea transshipment port will be dedicated by the national leader on May 2, located in Kerala. Developed through a public-private partnership at approximately 8,867 crore rupees, the port has already handled 5.36 lakh TEUs since commencing operations in December 2024. The facility is projected to reach a minimum 30 lakh TEUs annual capacity by 2028, with anticipated significant economic development for the region and potential to handle substantial national freight traffic.
