This marks the first collaboration between these three companies. ONGC dominated the round, securing 15 blocks (11 independently and 4 with partners), while Vedanta won 7 blocks despite bidding for all 28 available areas. Oil India secured 9 blocks. The government has launched OALP-X, offering 25 blocks across various water depths in the largest round to date, with bidding closing July 31. Previous OALP rounds have awarded 144 exploration blocks covering 242,055 sq km.
