BD Life Sciences Workshop Trains 75 Lab Personnel on Flow Cytometry for Minimal Residual Disease Assessment in Leukemia and Myeloma
BD Life Sciences-Biosciences organized a 2-day workshop at Christian Medical College Vellore focused on Minimal Residual Disease (MRD) assessment in Acute Leukemia and Myeloma. The event, in collaboration with The Cytometry Society of India, provided a knowledge-sharing platform for approximately 75 laboratory personnel from multiple countries. Speakers discussed technical and analytical components of MRD assessment. Flow cytometry, which sorts and examines microscopic particles, plays a crucial role in detecting MRD-cancer cells remaining after treatment. MRD monitoring helps evaluate treatment effectiveness, predict relapse risk, and confirm remission status in patients with hematological malignancies.
