The summit, attended by seven member states, will also see agreements on maritime transport and other partnerships. The theme is 'Proactive, Resilient and Open BIMSTEC.' The Secretary General highlighted the group's focus on technical and economic cooperation, emphasizing its potential to become a dynamic regional organization. Two new ministerial mechanisms will be launched, and partnerships with international organizations are being explored. The BIMSTEC Secretariat is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
