The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports has sanctioned Rs 4.50 crore to Government of Haryana for laying of artificial turf for football at Dariyapur, Fatehabad District under Urban Sports Infrastructure Scheme (USIS).
Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports is implementing a Central Scheme, namely, Urban Sports Infrastructure Scheme (USIS), on a pilot basis with effect from the year 2010-11.This Scheme aims at construction of (i) Synthetic playing surface( for hockey, football and athletics; and(ii) multi-purpose indoor hall. State Governments, Local Civic Bodies, Schools, Colleges and Universities under Central/ State Governments and Sports Control Boards are eligible to receive financial assistance under this scheme

Central assistance under Urban Sports Infrastructure Scheme funds state and eligible bodies to construct synthetic sports surfaces and indoor halls. Sanction of Central assistance under the Urban Sports Infrastructure Scheme (USIS) provides financial support for construction of synthetic playing surfaces and multi-purpose indoor halls; the pilot scheme authorises grants to State Governments, local civic bodies, educational institutions and sports control boards for eligible projects such as synthetic surfaces for hockey, football and athletics and multi-purpose indoor halls.Press 'Enter' after typing page number.
