The drugs were seized from a trawler with six Myanmarese crew members near Barren Island, suspected to be en route to Thailand. The crew is charged under the NDPS Act and the Foreigners Act. A Special Investigation Team linked the operation to an international drug syndicate in the Golden Triangle. The chargesheet includes electronic and forensic evidence, such as satellite phone and GPS data.
