Sensex and Nifty Rebound Amid Foreign Fund Inflows and Key Stock Gains; Auto Stocks Weaken Over US Tariffs.
Stock market indices rebounded with the BSE Sensex rising 317.93 points to 77,606.43 and the NSE Nifty climbing 105.10 points to 23,591.95, driven by foreign fund inflows and buying in Reliance Industries, L&T, and Bajaj Finance. Gains were limited by selling in auto stocks, notably Tata Motors, due to US tariffs on imported cars, and subdued pharma stocks. Despite these challenges, the market showed resilience, supported by expectations of earnings growth. Foreign Institutional Investors purchased equities worth Rs 2,240.55 crore. Asian markets saw mixed results, while European and US markets were lower. Brent crude slightly decreased to USD 73.62 a barrel.
