The Economic Editors’ Conference (EEC-2012) will be held on 8th and 9th October, 2012. Union Finance Minister Shri P. Chidambaram will inaugurate the Conference at 11.00 a.m. on October 8, 2012 and interact with media during the opening session. The venue of the Conference is PIB Conference Hall, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi.
Union Ministers for the Ministries of Communication & IT, Railways, Road Transport & Highways, Agriculture, Civil Aviation, Power, Corporate Affairs and Petroleum & Natural Gas will address other sessions of the two day Conference. The Conference is open to registered delegates only, who have been sent specific invitation for the purpose. However, sessions on various Ministries can also be attended by the beat correspondents of the concerned Ministry.
Entry for each session will be on the basis of a specific card. Beat correspondents covering different Ministries can collect this card from their respective Departmental Publicity Officer (DPO) from October 5, 2012 during office hours. The schedule of the Conference is as under:
