<h1>Gujarat to Expand Mangrove Plantations by 15,000 Hectares Under MISHTI Scheme, Boosting Conservation Efforts and Tourism.</h1> Gujarat plans to plant mangroves over 15,000 hectares under the MISHTI scheme, according to the state government. This initiative by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change aims to enhance mangrove conservation along India's coastline. Gujarat, currently leading in mangrove afforestation, has already planted mangroves over 11,930 hectares. The state has allocated Rs 5 crore to increase mangrove diversity and develop tourist destinations. Additionally, plans include a new lion safari at Indroda Park and a desert-themed zoo in Banaskantha. A caracal conservation center will also be established in Kutch with a Rs 5 crore budget.
