The Union Cabinet, led by the Prime Minister, approved the revised schemes with additional allocations of Rs 1,000 crore each, totaling Rs 3,400 crore for RGM and Rs 2,790 crore for NPDD during the 15th Finance Commission cycle (2021-26). These initiatives aim to modernize dairy infrastructure, resulting in a 63.55% increase in milk production and a 26.34% rise in productivity over the past decade.
