Shiv Sena Minister Shambhuraj Desai denied any irregularities and rejected the SIT demand. The cost increase was attributed to additional work and GST rate changes. Despite explanations from the Urban Development Department, BJP members alleged corruption and rule violations in the contract awarding process. A meeting is scheduled to provide further project details to legislative council members.
