The state plans to establish an authority named 'Sankalp' to prevent youth drug involvement and tackle drug smuggling. Between 2020 and 2024, 16,781 cases were registered under the NDPS Act, leading to 25,446 arrests. The government seized illegal assets worth Rs 52.79 crore and demolished illegal constructions linked to drug smugglers. Enhanced interstate coordination and surveillance are in place, and the number of de-addiction centers has increased to 130 by 2024-25.
