Czech Republic to be the Partner Country in the India Engineering Sourcing Show 2013

Speaking at the India-Czech Joint Commission and the concurrent business seminar at Brno on September 11, 2012, Shri Anand Sharma, Union Minister for Commerce, Industry & Textiles said that India-Czech partnership can become the harbinger of a new growth story in these times of economic stress. Leading a business delegation of over 135 Indian Engineering companies, Minister Sharma signed the minutes of the India-Czech Joint Commission which took place earlier, during which he set a target of doubling bilateral trade taking it to a level of USD 2 billion for the India-Czech bilateral trade by 2015.

Minister Anand Sharma also announced the participation of the Czech Republic as partner country in the 2013 edition of the India Engineering Sourcing Show.

The event was also addressed by Minister of Industry & Trade of the Czech Republic, Mr. M Kuba. Two MoUs were signed between the Czech Export Bank and Export Import Bank of India and between EEPC India and the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic.

Trade partnership: Czech Republic named partner country to deepen engineering-sector cooperation and boost bilateral trade. Designation of the Czech Republic as Partner Country for the India Engineering Sourcing Show 2013 was announced during India-Czech Joint Commission meetings at Brno, where a business delegation of over 135 Indian engineering firms participated and a minister set a bilateral trade target to double two-way trade by 2015. Two memoranda of understanding were signed: between the Czech Export Bank and the Export-Import Bank of India, and between EEPC India and the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic to advance financial and industry cooperation.
