<h1>Indian Public Banks Faced 5,199 Education Loan Complaints in 2011-12; 9 Still Pending, Says Finance Minister.</h1> Public Sector Banks in India received 5,199 complaints related to education loans in the 2011-12 period, primarily concerning delays in loan sanctioning. Of these, 5,190 complaints were resolved, leaving 9 pending. The Indian Banks Association's Model Educational Loan Scheme mandates that banks process educational loan applications within 15 days to a month. This information was disclosed by the Minister of State for Finance in a written response to a query in the Lok Sabha.
