<h1>New Norms for Village Co-ops: Membership and Share Amounts Reduced, Security Deposit Lowered for Easier Formation.</h1> The Minister of State for Cooperatives announced relaxed norms for establishing multipurpose village service cooperative societies in Rajasthan. The minimum number of members required has been reduced from 300 to 150, and the minimum share amount is now Rs 1.50 lakh instead of Rs 3 lakh. The security deposit has also been lowered to Rs 75,000 in general areas and Rs 50,000 in scheduled tribe areas. The state plans to establish societies in over 2,500 gram panchayat headquarters within two years, aiming to strengthen the cooperative network and support farmers.
