The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has implemented MCA21 project- a major e-Governance Initiative covering all aspects of incorporation and regulation of companies as defined under the Companies Act, through its e-Governance portal namely www.mca.gov.in. The ministry keeps enhancing the facilities and services on e-portal from time to time so as to constantly improve productivity and facilities to the stakeholders.

A total expenditure of Rs.154.13 crore has been spent under the MCA21 in the last three financial years 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12.

This information was given by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs Shri R.P.N. Singh in the Lok Sabha today in reply to a written question whether the Government proposes to increase the e-services in the MCA and the total budgetary allocation during the last three years.

E Governance portal expands company incorporation and regulation services with ongoing enhancements and allocated budget support. Implementation of the MCA21 e Governance portal established an integrated digital framework for company incorporation and regulation under the Companies Act, centralising filing and administrative processes through an online platform. The portal receives periodic facility upgrades to extend e services and streamline compliance, and the initiative received a defined budgetary allocation over the three preceding financial years to develop and maintain the portal and related services.
