The state's Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) for 2023-24 is estimated at Rs 8,54,429 crore at current prices. Tax revenue, the largest revenue component, rose to Rs 1,61,965 crore, with its share in total receipts growing to 83.8% by 2023-24. Bihar achieved the third highest growth in the transport and communication sector among major Indian states. The forestry and logging sector's contribution to the state's economy increased by 10.7% over the same period.
