Female unemployment fell year on year and edged down from the preceding quarter, whereas male unemployment remained largely unchanged. Labour force participation in the Current Weekly Status rose year on year and held steady sequentially. The PLFS quarterly bulletin derives these indicators using CWS methodology, counting as unemployed those who did not work during the reference week but were available for or seeking work, and reports Worker Population Ratio and worker distribution by status and industry.
