This initiative aims to reduce medical costs associated with late diagnoses and improve healthcare services. Annually, 9.5 lakh patients leave the state for treatment, costing the state Rs 1350 crore in GDP. The health department's project includes introducing robotic surgery, advanced radiology, and laboratory equipment in medical colleges. A 150-bed Cancer Care Centre will be set up in Hamirpur, and healthcare services will be expanded across 69 government institutions, with efforts to digitize patient care.
