This initiative aims to transform Asia's largest slum into a modern urban hub, impacting nearly one million residents. Approximately 1.5 lakh tenements will be rehabilitated, offering improved housing and infrastructure. The project, backed by Navbharat Mega Developers Pvt Ltd and the Adani Group, plans to relocate eligible residents within Dharavi and others to modern townships in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. These townships will feature comprehensive amenities, enhancing living conditions for both Dharavi residents and the broader Mumbai community.
