Haryana Government Revises Cold Storage Fees, Supporting Smaller Facilities with New Tiered Structure Based on Capacity.
The Haryana Government has revised the lump sum fee structure for cold storage operators to support smaller facilities. Cold storages with a capacity of up to 2,000 metric tons will now pay Rs 35,000, those with 2,001 to 5,000 metric tons will pay Rs 55,000, and facilities with over 5,001 metric tons will continue to pay Rs 70,000. This change follows a meeting between cold storage operators and the Chief Minister, where operators requested fee adjustments based on storage capacity. Currently, Haryana has 222 cold storages, with varying capacities across the state.
