Justice V.S.Sirpurkar takes over as New Chairman of the Competition Appellate Tribunal of India
Justice V.S.Sirpurkar, a retired Judge of the Supreme Court of India today assumed the charge as Chairman of the Competition Appellate Tribunal of India. He took the oath of office was administered the oath of office and Secrecy in his office chamber. Born on 22 August, 1946, Justice Sirpurkar, joined Judicial Services as Judge Bombay High Court in 1992 and later served as Chief Justice in the High Courts of Uttarakhand and Calcutta. He was elevated to Supreme Court in 2007. Justice Sirpurkar has taken the charge of the office after the retirement of Justice Arijit Pasayat on 9th May 2012, also a retired Judge from the Supreme Court.
