of <h1>India's Industrial Production Growth Slows to 3.2% in December 2024; Mining and Manufacturing Sectors Weaken</h1> India's industrial production growth slowed to 3.2% in December 2024, primarily due to weaker performances in the mining and manufacturing sectors, as per official data. The government revised the November 2024 Index of Industrial Production (IIP) figure to 5% from an earlier estimate of 5.2%. In December 2023, industrial output had grown by 4.4%. The manufacturing sector's output rose by 3% in December 2024, down from 4.6% a year earlier, while mining growth fell to 2.6% from 5.2%. Power output increased significantly to 6.2% from 1.2% the previous year. During April-December, IIP growth was 4%, compared to 6.2% the previous year.
