<h1>India Post to Become Major Logistics Player Using 1.5 Lakh Rural Offices; Boosts for MSMEs and Urea Plant in Assam</h1> The Indian government plans to transform India Post into a major logistics organization, leveraging 1.5 lakh rural post offices to boost the rural economy. Announced by the Finance Minister during the budget presentation, this initiative aims to enhance the role of India Post in logistics. Additionally, a urea plant with a 12.7 lakh tonne capacity will be established in Assam. The government also plans to increase investment and turnover limits for MSMEs, which contribute significantly to exports, and enhance the credit guarantee cover to improve credit access. Support will be provided to the National Cooperative Development Corporation for lending operations.
