<h1>Over 1.18 Crore Homes Sanctioned Under PMAY-U; New Phase to Aid 1 Crore More by 2025</h1> A total of 1.18 crore houses have been sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U), with 1.14 crore grounded and over 89 lakh completed. PMAY-U 2.0, launched in September 2024, aims to assist an additional one crore households. Agreements have been signed by 29 states and union territories for PMAY-U 2.0, with 6 lakh houses approved for FY25. The Economic Survey 2024-25 also highlights urban infrastructure developments, including metro and rapid rail systems operational in 29 cities, and the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme improving urban water management. The Real Estate Regulatory Authority has registered 1.38 lakh projects and resolved 1.38 lakh complaints.
