Trade between India and France
The details of the trade between India and France during the years 2009-10, 2010-11& 2011-12 (Apr-Feb) is given below:-

No trade agreement has been entered into with France during the last two years. Discussions are regularly held with France under the India-France Joint Commission meeting for Economic and Technical Cooperation, the last meeting of which was held on 23rd – 25th June. 2010 in Paris to promote bilateral trade. Business to business contacts from both sides are also encouraged.
This information was given by Shri Anand Sharma , Union Minister for Commerce, Industry and Textiles in written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.

Bilateral trade relations: official statistics reported and cooperation continued via the India-France joint commission, no new trade agreement. India-France bilateral trade statistics for 2009-10 through 2011-12 are reported with exports, imports and total trade in US dollars; official data are sourced to the Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics. No trade agreement was entered into with France during the two years preceding the release.
