Cotton Export Policy

 

:  Details of export of cotton and some of the agricultural products during the three years is as follows:

The country-wise data of export of an item is available on the website of DGFT at http://www.dgft.gov.in/Export Import Data Bank on the home page.

Except edible oil, pulses, milk and milk products, most other agricultural products are not prohibited for export. Restrictions on exports are placed to ensure adequate domestic availability.

This information was given by Shri Anand Sharma ,  Union Minister for Commerce, Industry and  Textiles  in written reply to a question in  Lok    Sabha today.

Cotton export policy confirms most agricultural exports permitted while targeted restrictions protect domestic availability. The cotton export policy reports export quantities, affirms that most agricultural products are exportable while certain items are prohibited or restricted to ensure domestic availability, and directs users to the DGFT Export Import Data Bank for country-wise export data.
