Indo-Tibetan Border Police and Arunachal Pradesh join forces to boost market access for Tuting farmers.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Indo-Tibetan Border Police and the Arunachal Pradesh Agriculture Marketing Board to enhance market access for farmers in Tuting, a remote town in Upper Siang district. This collaboration aims to provide a sustainable market platform for local farmers and self-help groups (SHGs), improving their economic conditions. Supported by the Block Mission Management Unit and the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission, the initiative seeks to overcome challenges like poor road connectivity. SHGs from Zido village have already completed their first supply order, marking a significant step towards market integration.
