Haryana Cabinet Expands Divyang Pension Scheme, Adds 10 New Disability Categories, and Launches Clean Air Project with World Bank Support.
Haryana's Cabinet has expanded the Divyang pension scheme by adding ten new disability categories, allowing nearly 32,000 more Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) to receive monthly pensions. The categories include cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, and autism spectrum disorder, among others. The age limit for financial assistance for hemophilia and thalassemia has been removed. Additionally, the Haryana One-Time Settlement Scheme was introduced to settle outstanding tax dues, offering significant concessions to taxpayers. The Cabinet also approved the Haryana Clean Air Project, supported by the World Bank, aiming to improve air quality and reduce emissions across the Indo-Gangetic Plain.
