<h1>GSI Unveils 2025-26 Plan: 1,065 Projects with Focus on Critical Minerals; Rs 300 Crore Allocated for Exploration Efforts.</h1> The Geological Survey of India (GSI) has planned an extensive roadmap for the 2025-26 field season, featuring 1,065 scientific programs, including 402 mineral development projects. A significant emphasis is placed on critical mineral exploration, with 227 projects targeting minerals like graphite, lithium, and vanadium, marking a 16% increase from the previous year. GSI will allocate Rs 300 crore for these critical mineral initiatives. Additionally, 167 mineral discovery projects are planned, alongside 141 projects focused on natural hazards, geoscience, and climate change studies. These plans were presented at a Central Geological Programming Board meeting in Bhubaneswar.
