The minister emphasized the importance of maintaining essential services and implementing effective traffic management. The metro expansion, costing over Rs 5,452 crore, will utilize Communication Based Train Control technology. The construction is set to begin on May 1, 2025, following the foundation laid by the Prime Minister in February 2024.
